An Untapped Resource

Taking care of a loved one, who is no longer able to care for his or herself, is not easy.  Whether it is your spouse, your parent, of another family member adult day services can help you in your caregiving. Adult Day Service Centers are designed to provide care and companionship for older adults who need assistance or supervision during the day.

Participants who are struggling with mental or physical impairments such as Alzheimer’s, other memory impairments, Parkinson’s, chronic heart disease or fragility, and disabled adults receive compassionate care.  A planned program that includes a variety of health and social services is provided in a safe setting during daytime hours. Centers are located in cities throughout Orange County. They are licensed and can often provide benefits that you, alone, cannot.

Research shows that participants become happier, less depressed and more independent when attending an Adult Day Service Center.  The person that is now responsible for care, the caregiver, receives help in understanding medical conditions and works in cooperation with professional staff and their own physician to have the best treatment plan possible. Adult Day Service Centers are not sad places, nor institutional in approach or feel.  Participants are valued and respected.  Time spent with us at a day care center will be enjoyable for the participant and worry free for the caregiver. Centers offer relief to family members or caregivers and allow them the freedom to go to work, handle personal business or just relax while knowing their loved one is well cared for and safe.
